Apple is working with 4 inch displays for the next iPhone

Publication of the usually reliable and Wall Street Journal reports that Apple has submitted orders for the screens of the new iPhone, which is “at least four inches.” Production is expected to begin next month with LG Display, Sharp and Japan Display Inc. be the three main providers of monitors. At this point the WSJ’s report is consistent with other reports we’ve seen from time to time to increase the display of the next iPhone to 4 inches. Some notes:
You can not downgrade without SHSH blobs of your device to the older version. You should have keep these blobs when Apple allow it using Cydia or TinyUmbrella. The new option restore the redsn0w you can choose either remote or local blobs (for the older version). If you do not know who TinyUmbrella stores blobs can be found from within the program itself has an option.

• The downgrade process substantially enhances the first device to the latest version and then installs the latest. This means that the baseband upgraded to the latest version, so if you rely on an unlock stay away. Those who used the SAM technique to unlock the iPhone will not have to face an issue with upgrading the baseband.

iPad 3 5.1 untethered jailbreak soon to be released

Pod2g announced few minutes ago that has managed to make untethered jailbreak the new iPad (iPad3, 1) with iOS 5.1.

The good news does not stop here as the pod2g informs us that after the process to consolidate the effort will continue to target the jailbreak iOS 5.1.1:

Hey. iPad 3,1 running iOS 5.1 untethered. Next on the list: stabilizing the payload, then trying 5.1.1.

Update: As said pod2g, if the process works in the new iPad (3rd gen) and iPhone 4 you will support all iOS devices, except maybe the new Apple TV (3rd gen):

iPhone 4s VS Samsung Galaxy s3 [Ads]

Samsung announced yesterday the Galaxy S III, a smartphone with a 4.8 inch screen and four processor cores is expected to become the newest “flagship” of the Galaxy series on the market. iPhone 5 with bigger screen and new dock connector ?

iLounge is now back with a new publication which relies on well-informed sources on the upcoming upgrades to the iPhone and iPod touch. Specifically, the site supports previous published an abandonment of design shaped “tear” on the sixth-generation iPhone and says that the new iPhone will be longer and thinner than the iPhone 4S. Its dimensions are approximately 125 × 58.8 × 7.4 mm, an increase of 10 mm in height and nearly 2 mm reduction in thickness. Also on the back of the device is a metal cover-aligned center and is completely flat.

Also, the new iPhone is expected to be partially constructed with Gorilla Glass 2 now made thinner while maintaining the same resistance as the previous version. Please note that the increase in height of the device corresponds to a 4 inch screen with different aspect ratio which confirms previous publication. Finally, we will see a different dock connector on the new iPhone that the size will be slightly larger than the speaker of the iPhone 4S but contains fewer pins than the current 30-pin dock connector. This new technology will be used in all future iOS devices including the iPod touch that is expected to be upgraded this year with the new screen and faster processor.

New reports of the New York Times discusses how the Apple manages and minimizes taxes payable by exploiting various legal loopholes and excuses in the world. The article is quite revealing though clearly focused on the Apple name to attract attention while all companies resort to similar methods.

For example, one method involves taking short positions in foreign countries with high taxes in such a way that would allow the sale of goods from subsidiaries by low tax countries, avoiding in this way import taxes. The Apple pioneered a technique known as “Double Irish with a Dutch Sandwich” that reduces taxes by sending profits through Irish and Dutch subsidiaries and from there to the Caribbean. This tactic is widely used today by a large number of firms.

Another example concerns the subsidiary iTunes S.à rl Luxembourg, which consists of some officials but has a turnover of 1 billion a year since it is responsible for all transactions on the iTunes Store in Europe, Africa and Middle East. Because the iTunes Store to purchase digital goods the Apple advantage of the favorable tax treatment in Luxembourg which is part of the country’s efforts to attract businesses.
